Bifold Door Designs and Configurations
One of the best things about aluminium bifold doors is the high degree of customisation possible. At Aston Architectural Aluminium we offer Hertfordshire installers a bespoke bifold door service and have the manufacturing capabilities to fulfil virtually any order.
Number of Door Panels
The number of door panels ranges from 2 to 6 or more. More panels mean a wider opening space when fully retracted. An even number of panels is most common.

Doors can be designed to open from the left, right or both sides to suit your space. With double-action bifold doors, panels can open inwards and outwards for flexibility.
Height and Width
There is no set size for bifold doors. They can be designed to fit openings as small as 1.5 metres up to unrestricted spans over 6 metres wide. Panels can be manufactured up to 2.5 metres in height.
